Band Clinic/ NCMEA
NCMEA= Nov 7-9th Winston- Salem. All State- April 29-May 1 at UNCG,
read the new rules that are in affect, 2011-12 will be a change in tuba
and euphonium solos if proposal approved.

Band reportÉ Dustin Stamey.. check out new guidelines for hosting a state
sanctioned festival, attend session at convention about what is coming up

Business- bylaw and rule changes at the state level, look on website for
detailed info pertaining to ÒmasterworksÓ, proposed solo change for
baritone and tuba, financial guidelines by NCBA, new way to earn CEU
credit for renewal- part of your registration packet, proposed changes for
11-12 scales to be voted on in November
- Discussion
to a change in state rule that is in effect this MPA season about students
playing in more than one band, much discussion about this; several spoke
in favor of changing the rule.
It is imperative that comments are sent to Richard Holmes and Keith
James so our districtÕs voice is heard at the state meeting in November.
