á      Minutes Ð Read on-line and accepted

á      TreasurerÕs Report Ð Richard Holmes  - report read and accepted É. $36,000 plus in the bank. 

á      All District Auditions- Jennifer Isenhour & Carrie Lineberger-thanks for the feedback to improve, welcome more, at the board meeting- discussed some new things-want to change registration deadlines, use a graduated deadline schedule- first deadline-1 month prior to event, must have students registered online, 2nd deadline- $20 up until the week before, final deadline- $40 per student up until the day of  **this is only if you have registered students online before the first deadline-voted and approved                                                                          É.scan cards-add stock comments on the back so students have adequate feedback

É requested additional scanners- voted and approved

É no new scale requirementsÉ alto clarinet and Eb soprano clarinet have been eliminated from All State and will also be from our district- voted on and approve

... auditions committee formed to tweak some audition things-committee will consist of Jennifer, Carrie, Lesli- any one interested should see one of us after the meeting

á      All District Clinic Jan 28-29, welcome and hope things are running smoothly, please let Richard know if you have any suggestions/concerns

á      High School Concert Festival at North Lincoln High School ÐJames Phillips, Registration February 22, March 22-25, 22-23 Pouncey, Fleming, Hall, Harbinson, 24-25 Lanning, Copenhaver, Sheldon, Witcher  **Any one interested in hosting this event needs to put a proposal in to the executive board.

á      Score Service Committee ---Neil Underwood ÒGot Scores, Need MoreÓ, Both score catalogs are at North Lincoln right now, new scores being added, updated list will be sent out soon

á       State MPACommitteeÑScott Clowes update from the November meeting, info to be posted on the state website, took the MENC sheet made revisions, see him to give input on the changes they made, steered away from the sheet with the check boxes, error in Master works list- see Scott if you are doing one to get clarification

á      Honors Band Auditions- registration deadline is February 15

á      All-State Band Clinic- April 29-May 1, 2011 All State at UNCG, read the new rules that are in affect

this year students will have an opportunity to purchase an All State t-shirt

Scale and percussion requirements will still be the same as previous years

á      James Daugherty spoke- NCMEA convention precursor of some clinics, Hall of Fame recipients will be recognized at All State Band instead of at NCMEA, November 13

á      Marching Band reportÉ Dustin Stamey, meeting Saturday morning @ 9:30, want input on how to fix some things, come to the meeting, discussion will take place on an MPA event, State Championship, questionnaire to complete and return

á      Solo and Ensemble- Ruth Petersen and Rob Carrington, Bailey Middle School will be held May 7th, registration deadline April 7 Judges- Barry Garrison, Dawn Taylor, Dr. Larry Marks, will begin at 9:00 am  **must be concert band instruments

á      Jazz Report ÐJosh Stevenson, Feb 18-19, jazz clinic at Lenoir-Rhyne,  May 13-14 MPA, check website for additional info

á      Other Business- Jason Robison presented proposed amendment to bylaws for Election of Officers

Discussion to a change in state rule that goes into affect this MPA season about students playing in more than one band, much discussion about this-this was overturned at the state board meeting in November

Windy Fullagar will be middle school tabulation room representative for our district

Neil Underwood will be on the state auditions committee

Need someone to take over the state website, if interested, contact James -Daugherty or Richard Holmes

Our district will financially support the jazz section

Request to put the score service list on the website

ASBDA sponsoring an event, June 22-24, Dr. Tim, Lowell Graham, Paula Crider, 1.6 CEUs, information will be on the website   

Howren Scholarship Committee will be by headed by Leslie Craven, meeting this evening after dinner

á      Spring Meeting- May 2nd, J. M. Robinson High School, Concord, 6:30
