Marching Band Committee Ð Keith James/Richard Holmes
Possible district festivals to be talk about for the future
and we are looking to receive any feed back from the district on this
proposal. This is still in the
talking stage and would need to go before the NCMEA board to treat it just like
concert festival and jazz band festival with just a rating only, without any
financial hardship on NCMEA or the NCBDA.
The committee will now take the money that we have been keeping up with
and will now house their own bank account.
11. New
Music Clinic @ Honors Band Ð Richard Holmes
Encouraged everyone to attend Honors Band this year at the

with Richard.

Concert
Festival Judges/Commission/Clinician Committee: - Scott Clowes/John Mode/Keith
James
Both of these committees need your input as members. John
Mode came up with a form that was passed out to the membership in attendance
that the committee cane use in the future to come up with folks that we would
like to see in working with our students.
NEW BUSINESS
13.
Clinicians
2009:
Because of our circumstance for this year, Mekel and Jim
will be our 2009 clinic clinicians.
Based on the order of 2007, Col. John Bu cannot do a clinic on the dates
we have in the future and we would like Robert Sheldon to do a commission for
us in 2010, Dr. Bill Gora would be our 11-12 Clinician. Motion was made and passed that we
accept Dr. Gora as our 2009 11-12 Clinician.
We would like to thank Mekel Rogers for moving his time to
next year in order to accommodate a scheduling mix up for this year.
Middle School Ð Mekel Rogers
High
School Ð Jim Hill
Senior
High Ð Dr. Bill
Gora

Recordings
for District Band:
- Richard Holmes
We
as a district should record the solos for our district. If you are interested
in helping with this project, we will talk about it more at the spring meeting.
This would be a resource for our students. Sign up with Richard after the
meeting.
15.
Rainey

We need to pass the hat in order to make this fund
